The Bradford District Compact which was first established in February 2010, with the aim to help improve communication and understanding between the public and voluntary and community sector (VCS). It sets the tone of the relationship between the voluntary and community sector, the council and other statutory partners through a series of undertakings.
The Compact was updated during 2015 to reflect the changes that had taken place within the public sector over the previous five years and the changes that were anticipated to take place in the future.
The updated compact was approved by the Bradford District Board on 23 October 2016. The amended document sets out how the public sector will consult, engage and work with the VCS to develop, deliver and commission services for residents across the district and better meet their needs.
